Meet one of our greeters at the Children's check in desk. They will be able to answer your questions and lead you to your child's classroom. Ages birth through Pre-K are invited to stay during all three morning services if necessary. We also have a nursing room available for mothers to come and go as needed. The nursing room has a live feed of the worship service available to watch on Sunday mornings.

Baby Dedications are held throughout the year for newborns through 4 year olds. We take time during our service to individually recognize each child and the unique responsibility the family has. We also commit as a church body to support and encourage the child and the family in their spiritual journey. Children are a gift from God and we want to be examples in service and worship for them.

Each Sunday morning, we create a safe and fun environment for kids to actively engage in God’s truths. Our volunteers will greet you at the Children's check in desk and make sure your children find the right classroom.

The mission of our Mark 9 ministry is to demonstrate the true love of Jesus through intentionally engaging children, students, and adults with special needs by providing accessible discipleship. We also come alongside their family members to provide care and support through community.

Awana is a discipleship tool Oakwood uses to teach our children about God’s love and how to hide His Word in their hearts. Children enjoy different rotations during their night at Awana. They start their night with dinner and a lesson in large group, enjoy various activities, and end the night in their classrooms, memorizing and understanding God’s Word.

For Children age 3 (as of September 1st) - 5th grade

All families are required to check in using their last name or phone number at one of our check in stations. Each child checked in will receive a name tag. Children are required to always wear their name tag. Parents receive a guardian receipt while printing their child’s name tags. Each family is assigned a number printed on each name tag and guardian receipt. During pick up, the guardians match the number on their receipt with their
child’s name tag.

First time guests register their family at one of our information counters. Children receive a hand-written name tag for the first Sunday and will be put in the system the following week. Info Desk Volunteers stay in the lobby during each service to greet and supervise each person going into the classroom hallways.

Each volunteer is required to fill out a criminal background check, secondary screening form, and complete a sexual abuse awareness course before they serve with our children.

The doors to the classroom hallways stay open during the beginning and end of each service but are closed during the duration of the service.
The entrance doors stay locked and are unlocked only by key or electronic keypad.

Our volunteers are trained in the event of a fire, inclement weather, or any other emergency event. We have direct access via radio to our
security team.
